About the Instructor

D. Marquez Harris, has extensive firearms training most of it received during his time in the military and working in law enforcement.  He's served in the United States Army (Infantry) and deployed several times with several different units.  After the military he earned a bachelors degree in Criminal Justice and went on to continue serving his country as a deputy sheriff.  As a deputy he became part of the training and standards division where he served as a firearms instructor training cadets during the firearms portion of the academy, as well as helping to develop other firearms training for the department.  At the same time Harris noticed that civilians also needed training and decided to become licensed through the NRA and state to provide firearms training to the community.

His background, consistent training and keeping current with the needs of students has allowed him to create dynamic and effective range scenarios that push students beyond their limits at a comfortable pace and have them leave the courses with new found confidence.  His motto, "Stay Vigilant, Be Fierce, Remain in the Fight and be Unconquerable" are words the students know and understand after every course.
